That looks very good!

I like Mudlet a lot. Likely because of the plug-in available. It's great.
It gives a separate window for tells, login & logouts, and even puts level-ups for your character in that window.
There are buttons though I don't use them much.
It also has a separate window for group health which is great.
It has a separate window for skills & trades & spells, though it was never configured to include prayers. I can't imagine that would be too hard to update.
I use some keyboard macros and some aliases that i've made within SI.

My main complaint is that the "TELL" window, as I call it, needs word-wrap. As it stands now certain things get lost off the edge of the screen and/or, if running long, get partially entered onto the main screen. I'm not going to spend time figuring it out myself.

i dunno if this helps, but in scripts > ui-template > gui > boxes
you can change this line?
GUI.Box1:setWrap(100)

also, you can center the text on the hp bars with the center tag...
GUI.Health:setValue(tonumber(health), tonumber(healthMax), "<center><span style='font-size: 12px';>H: " .. health .. "/" .. healthMax);

Yeahhhhhhhhhhh. Way over my head. :lol:

Edit: OK. So maybe not so far over my head. I was able to fix the wordwrap.

Thank you Xiija!

I'm late to seeing this. I wasn't previously subscribed to this post but I have it covered now.

During the summer I switched things across the website to make Mudlet our client of choice. It's the easiest to use and it works across multiple platforms, so it's really the best approach for the game right now. I've tinkered with a version based off the Shattered Mind shared, but I haven't made it too far with it yet. Hard to find the time. I would love to supply an SI plug-in on the website along with the mudlet download. I've seen examples of other games simplifying that process. Anything to make downloading and playing the game less intimidating for those who know nothing about MUDs. The ultimate end goal is to have our own client so we can package the game in one simple install but that's not going to happen before we relaunch.

I recently changed the [ARRIVALS] channel to [INFO] to be consistent with levelups and skill unlocks that now come from CL. That should be easier to capture important info in one place going forward. I really like the idea of auto-switching tabs. Makes better use of the space. The left side windows of the second version are great. Some combination of the two styles would be interesting. I do like the game displayed in the middle with the easy to see buttons across the top. Maybe you can add another bar that you can toggle between so you can double the available buttons without taking up more screen space?

Excited to see where your experimenting will lead!
